Position Summary
As the Production Manager, your role is to lead and develop the plant management team to exceed customer expectations in terms of quality, production, and safety while ensuring cost-efficiency.

Position Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direct supervision to production supervisors and hourly employees.

Manage the safe, cost-effective, and efficient production of our products, utilizing supervisory, quality assurance, maintenance, and sanitation resources to drive continuous improvement.

Enhance manufacturing operating results and efficiencies while meeting customer expectations and reducing waste.

Develop and maintain capable and effective employees across all functions, motivating them to embrace the Leadership Edge* values and behaviors.

Ensure employee safety and compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, effectively managing WCB injury cases and promoting early and safe worker returns.

Foster open and effective communications with all departments to maintain optimal quality standards, equipment maintenance, and on-time manufacturing.

Maintain a positive union and employee-relations environment to support cost-effective production of quality products.

Achieve productivity, quality, and safety targets, meeting or exceeding both internal and external customer expectations.

Lead Continuous Improvement Programs to achieve productivity enhancements.

Ensure a safe working environment with an exemplary safety record and adherence to OH&S regulations.

Must be knowledgeable and able to follow GMPs, Food Safety, and Health & Safety requirements.

Preferred Hiring Criteria

Post-secondary education and/or technical related work experience, preferably with an engineering background.

Formal technical baking education (AIB) is an asset, along with food processing/manufacturing experience or five years in a related industry.

Five or more years of management and supervisory experience.

Proficiency in computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Superior communication skills in a multicultural environment.

Demonstrates initiative and exercises good judgment in day-to-day business decisions.

Ability to develop subordinates to the next level.
