Position: Food Technologist – Entry Level
Commitment: 1-month internship with potential for a full-time offer
Internship: Paid

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Head of Research & Innovation to develop food products, cultures, and probiotic blends from concept to market launch.

Engage in novel plant protein ingredient research, process development, shelf-life assessments, and pilot/manufacturing trials.

Foster relationships with external ingredient suppliers, culture banks, research facilities, and co-manufacturers to ensure the successful delivery of products within specified timelines and budgets.

Systematically design and execute experiments to monitor product progress and meet sensory, nutritional, shelf-life, and cost targets.

Develop product specifications and testing protocols.

Work with co-manufacturing facilities to establish and validate HACCP/Food Safety plans.

Collaborate with internal and external marketing and sales teams to align products with market demands.

Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any product-related issues.

Participate in the design and validation of internal research labs, pilot-scale facilities, and manufacturing setups.

Maintain comprehensive records of all work.

Develop intellectual property strategies for innovative formulations, processing techniques, and products.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.

Provide regular work updates, project plans, and outcomes to company partners.

Desired Qualifications & Personality:

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.

Strong background in new product development, food technology, food chemistry, food engineering, and food safety.

Flexibility with work hours.

HACCP Certification.

Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical analysis.

Experience in formulating and scaling up food products.

Previous exposure to the plant-based or alternative protein sector is advantageous.

Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and achievement.

Resourceful with the ability to establish valuable connections.

Familiarity with the Indian food industry is a plus.

Proficiency in English, Tamil, and Hindi.
