Job Title: Food Technologist & Category Manager

We specialize in various sectors, including food commodities, staples, processed foods, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), and Nutraceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically build and expand the FMCG-Processed Foods Category from the ground up.
  • Drive New Product Development and Private Labeling/Own Brand Creation.
  • Lead the launch of products across diverse categories such as Snacks, Frozen, RTC/RTE, Beverages, Fruits & Vegetables, and Bakery, establishing a profitable category and a robust network of manufacturers.
  • Oversee and enhance safety and quality control procedures throughout the production process, both at our facilities and supplier locations, from raw materials to finished products.
  • Collaborate and provide support for product development and refinement, ensuring alignment with consumer needs.
  • Develop product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing expenses to ensure the profitability of our offerings.
  • Foster a resilient manufacturer base and enhance supply chain capabilities.
  • Skillfully manage pricing and negotiations, benchmarking for optimal results.
  • Source and procure items within the respective categories.
  • Identify growth opportunities, address concerns, and monitor performance at both the category and product levels to drive positive trends.
  • Cultivate a strong team and efficiently manage resources.
  • Strategically plan for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Spearhead new projects and initiatives to expand the business and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Showcase additional skills in Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence, Leadership Qualities, and Team Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology (B.Tech)
  • 5-8 years of experience in the Food & FMCG Industry
  • Work location: Bengaluru
  • Languages known: English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil (Kannada and Tamil proficiency not mandatory).
