Position : Quality Coordinator – Food and Beverage Industry

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform stringent online quality control checks and finished product inspections to ensure the best quality and minimize customer complaints.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems and standards for processes, physical systems, and the environment.
- Troubleshoot during online production to minimize waste and ensure product quality.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Global Health & Safety (GHK), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and conduct internal/external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process audits).
- Analyze root causes and failures for quality defects and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct online quality checks in the production area, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and optimize key machine operating parameters (e.g., Peelers, Fryers, Slicers, Seasoning Tumblers).
- Ensure optimal utilization of fryer oil and regularly check oil quality.
- Conduct product weak link analysis as required.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to address quality defects promptly.
- Conduct online quality checks and finished product inspections in the packaging area, following Frito Lay quality standards.
- Monitor film quality based on special complaints received from production.
- Maintain and evaluate machine performance to minimize waste due to machine-related factors.
- Calibrate machines and ensure timely blade changes for quality maintenance.
- Perform process capability studies and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Generate comprehensive reports and maintain accurate records for communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct housekeeping audits to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Handle hold material efficiently to minimize wastage.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws (Weights and Measures, FSSA) and internal controls.
- Resolve customer complaints effectively and prevent their recurrence.
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and lead or contribute to TPM projects.
- Promote a work culture that emphasizes the importance of quality standards and cost reduction through quality improvement.
- Drive change initiatives and continuous improvement within the department and plant.
- Document all quality procedures, systems, findings, hazards, and corrective actions systematically.
- Support training initiatives for operatives and lead initiatives related to packaging improvements.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Food Technology degree, Post Graduate in Food Technology, or Post Graduate in Dairy Technology.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the Food/Beverage/FMCG industry.
- Exposure to food safety systems and ISO systems.
- Knowledge of HACCP, AIB, and TPM is preferred.
