Responsibilities:
As a Product Technologist, you will collaborate with the business team and suppliers to facilitate the development of new products in categories like Kitchenware, bathroom accessories, storage solutions, indoor/outdoor items, and home decorations. Your key responsibilities will involve setting up product and inspection requirements, approving samples and packaging, and conducting pre-production meetings.
- Ensure adherence to Australian or European quality standards and mandatory requirements through product evaluation, testing, and approval.
- Conduct comprehensive factory audits and approvals for potential suppliers, aligning with company policies and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
- Provide QC inspectors with necessary inspection criteria, checklists, specifications, and sealed samples before production and inspection.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints and supplier-related issues.
- Utilize customer feedback and data to drive product improvement and reduce shrinkage.
- Undertake ad hoc projects assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Possess a Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
- Bring at least 3 years of QA experience in Toys and Nursery items, with a preference for experience in the retail or buying office sector.
- Be well-versed in Australian or European technical standard requirements.
- Ideally, have experience with accredited laboratory testing.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in English.
- Uphold integrity and professional ethics in all endeavors.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 and factory audit experience is advantageous.
- Exhibit self-discipline, teamwork, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
- Be prepared for frequent business travel.
