Job Description:
Are you ready to take on an exciting role at PepsiCo? We’re looking for a Packaging Improvement Manager to join our team in Kosi, Uttar Pradesh, India. In this role, you’ll be responsible for enhancing the quality of our packaging and optimizing our packaging processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the quality of packaging to minimize leakage and improve packaging quality parameters.
  • Increase machine efficiency (OEE) by reducing breakdowns, speed loss, and operational losses, while ensuring no product loss due to packaging overflow.
  • Reduce film wastage, excess giveaways, tear-offs, and improve labor efficiency in the packaging department.
  • Maintain a green and hygienic packaging hall environment.
  • Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting packaging machines and collaborate with R&D on trials.
  • Provide technical guidance to Packaging Machine Operators (PMO) to enhance their skills and improve packaging machine performance.
  • Conduct biannual IPS audits of packaging operations and identify opportunities to improve machine health, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Successfully execute packaging expansion projects, ensuring a smooth start-up of machines.
  • Prepare and manage the packaging budget to reduce fixed costs.
  • Keep the team of PMOs engaged and motivated to achieve the best packaging performance.
  • Monitor equipment operation and line performance to meet annual operating plan (AOP) targets, including reducing film waste, excess giveaways, equipment downtime, and ensuring high-quality green packaging.
  • Ensure all machine operators are 100% capable in machine operation competency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Communications Engineering (B Tech / BE).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in FMCG packaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on Schedule Attainment to Plan (93% AVC).
  • Maintain Standard Line Speeds as per AOP.
  • Labor utilization as per AOP (kg/manhour).
  • Proficiency in Sustainability KPIs and Safety KPIs.
  • Experience in handling IR (Industrial Relations) situations in the packaging department.
  • Ability to manage contract labor and PMOs effectively.
