Amul Milk Launches in US: New Products & Sponsorship

Amul, the renowned Indian cooperative, has officially introduced its Amul milk range in the United States. In a recent advertisement, the dairy giant proudly announced the arrival of Amul milk in the USA, offering the same beloved products av ailable in India.

This expansion comes through a strategic partnership between the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) and the long-standing cooperative institution, Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA). While MMPA handles the collection and processing of the milk, GCMMF takes charge of the marketing and branding efforts for Amul fresh milk in the US market.

Initially, Amul milk will be available in key locations such as New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Washington, Dallas, and Texas, with plans for a nationwide presence across major US cities in the pipeline.

Diversifying Amul’s Product Line

In a recent report by CNBC Awaaz, Amul unveiled plans to introduce a new ‘supermilk’ variant in India, boasting an impressive 35 grams of protein per glass. Currently, Amul’s toned milk offers around 3 grams of protein per 200 milliliters (ml), while the full cream variant contains approximately 7 grams, according to nutritional details on the packaging.

Amul’s Sports Sponsorship

Adding to its global presence, Amul recently announced its sponsorship of the USA and South African cricket teams for the upcoming T20 World Cup, set to kick off in June. At a ceremony held in New York on May 2, Amul was named the Lead Arm sponsor of the USA national cricket team, reflecting its commitment to supporting sports and wellness.

“The goodness of Amul Milk will empower the USA Cricket team to win hearts and laurels from across the world. We wish our best to the team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024,” remarked Mehta during the ceremony.
