Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Research Scientist/ associate to work in the field of Molecularbiology at Tropilite Foods.

In this role you will

Work with laboratory strains of bacteria and yeastusing aseptic technique for culturing, maintenanceand transformation

Design and development of DNA constructs fornovel high-level expression of heterologous genes andbiosynthetic pathways in microbial systems

Critical analysis of the results to inform theoptimization required to improve the function of nativeand heterologous biosynthetic pathways for productgeneratioon

Perform genome editing / Metabolic engineering ofmicro-organisms for improved phenotype

Prepare and execute established methods andSOPs.

Deliver high-quality results in a timely manner andcommunicate the same with stakeholders

Drive process improvements

Maintain all equipment, data and records as perspecifications

What we are looking for:

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in molecular biology, microbiology,biochemistry, biotechnology, synthetic biology orrelated field.

Experience in yeast metabolic and strainengineering

1-3 years of research experience in academic, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry settingsworking on microbial genetics.

Strong grasp of fundamental molecular biologytechniques is essential

Demonstrated ability to work with highly skilledteams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and technical environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills,capable of conveying technical information in a clearand thorough manner.

Comfortable delivering against challengingcommitments.

Confident, execution focused, team oriented, with anability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
