Position: Supply Chain Quality Control Coordinator

Job Summary:
PepsiCo is seeking a diligent and proactive Supply Chain Quality Control Coordinator to ensure top-quality products and uphold a culture of excellence at our Kosi plant in Uttar Pradesh. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining rigorous quality control standards, monitoring processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.


Quality Assurance:

  • Lead the vertical startup of a greenfield plant, focusing on product qu ality and fostering a quality-oriented culture.
  • Ensure compliance with KPIs, including targets for WIP, leakages, and zero red complaints.
  • Implement robust quality control systems and standards for processes, systems, and environment.
  • Troubleshoot online production issues to minimize wastage and ensure product quality.
  • Maintain GMP, GHK, GLP, and conduct internal/external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process audit).
  • Train and develop quality checkers, promoting skill enhancement and quality awareness.
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks on raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
  • Collaborate with the Agro Department to ensure quality and specifications of potatoes issued for production.
  • Perform regular COOK tests and sensory evaluations to ensure product quality.
  • Monitor online quality checks during the production process, ensuring adherence to PepsiCo’s quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks in the packaging area, including film quality, air leakage, weight, batch printing, and air fill.
  • Analyze test results, make data-driven decisions, and communicate corrective actions promptly.

Process Enhancement:

  • Optimize machine operations to minimize waste and ensure quality, including calibration and maintenance.
  • Ensure proper machine maintenance, blade changes, and peeler roller replacements to maintain quality standards.
  • Facilitate quality-related meetings, discussions, and take necessary actions for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality, to resolve quality defects.
  • Drive adherence to safety and hygiene practices through regular audits and inspections.

Customer Complaint Resolution:

  • Assist the quality manager in analyzing root causes of customer complaints and developing action plans.
  • Implement action plans to address customer complaints and improve overall product quality.


Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology (B.Tech Food Tech).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with exposure to food safety systems and ISO systems.
  • Knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, AIB, and TPM is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A passion for driving quality and continuous improvement.
