Manager- Process, R&D
This is an excellent opportunity to learn and nourish you and be part of passionate R&D team at Kellogg as R&D process manager.

This role require to develop R&D process related requirement for new product / current
products and scale up process to commercial level.

This role will also help identify cost saving opportunities in the manufacturing process/equipment.

Process knowledge
sharing and develop process excellence by sharing
trends/research/equipment /technology in process &
collaboration with external partners /vendors will also be part of this role.

Excellent technical understanding of process, manufacturing and equipment is key capabilities
along with good people skills and able to collaborate
teams within Kellogg and vendors.

Role Responsibilities :-

Assess process requirement of new and existing product / pack and alignment with manufacturing team.

Successful commercialization of products based on
process specifications.

Process capability mapping and scan process for area
of improvement to bring better quality and operational
friendly safe process

Demonstrate technical & scientific expertise about
unit operation , product flow , and equipment to help
current up-to date with latest developments and
technology upgradation in this area

Carryout process benchmarking of current Kellogg process with external .

Recommend area of
improvement and cost saving.

Recommend process and equipment requirement for
new product/ improvement and equipment evaluation.

Support current Pilot plant process and equipment
maintenance and pilot plant extension and related
operation.

Work with regional/global teams to exchange
information, knowledge in order to create a technical
knowledge /expertise hub for process technology.

Technical Expertise:

understanding for food industry.

Good knowledge on equipment manufacturing
process, installation and day to day operation .

Good knowledge of Material balance, energy balance
and operational efficiency assessment for food and
packaging area

Pilot plant maintenance and management People

Demonstrate strong networking, communication,
collaboration & negotiation skills.

Develops the plan for preparation of proposal,
business ROI (return on investment), milestone &
quantifiable measurement metrices for collaborative
projects.

Provides significant input toward resolving conflicts in the project timeline.

Manages conflicts
between timelines, stakeholders & internal/external service providers.

Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature
technical judgment to generate many alternative

Professional Qualification And Experience :-

This job typically requires a Graduate Food Technology/
Food Science/ Food engineering /Engineering with minimum6 years’ experience in handling manufacturing /
R&D /R&D/R&D process. Experience of equipment
manufacturing, line /equipment installation will be
appreciated.

The incumbent must possess leadership, cost
consciousness, communication skills, and diplomacy that
will promote good relations with all facets of management and other technical and scientific disciplines in the
effective execution of projects to accomplish Corporate and Area objectives and demanding schedules.

This individual must be able to function Independently and collaborate with cross functional team.

Work Environment
Travel to, and work in, manufacturing or test facilities is typically required 30- 40 percent of the time.

Also, projects may require working beyond the normal workday hours, shift work, and on weekends.

Operation of process
equipment may be necessary.

Key Relationships
Reports to – Director R&D (South Asia),
Supervises- Currently individual contributor.

Peer Relationship: Cross functional BU team, BU R&D
team & R&D COE Team.

Higher level of collaboration will be required with commercial function, Supply chain including manufacturing & quality, Regulatory, Finance,
Packaging development.

External contacts include, institutes, vendors,
CO-manufacturers and equipment suppliers.
