Key Responsibilities:
As a Food Technologist at Wellversed, your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Keeping abreast of the latest food industry trends through comprehensive literature reviews.
- Conducting market analysis to spot opportunities for groundbreaking product development.
- Investigating and assessing potential ingredients for pioneering product innovations.
- Fine-tuning product formulations to boost profitability without compromising on quality.
- Identifying and collaborating with trusted ingredient suppliers.
- Exploring cutting-edge methods and technologies to enhance food quality encompassing flavor, color, texture, and nutrition.
- Creating innovative compositions for new products and actively participating in product enhancement endeavors.
- Ensuring strict compliance with nutritional labeling regulations as set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
- Performing sensory analyses to evaluate product attributes and consumer preferences.
- Developing meticulous quality control checklists to maintain consistent product standards.
- Collaborating closely with the production team to pilot test batches of new products.
- Gathering and meticulously analyzing consumer feedback to drive continuous product improvements.
- Facilitating cross-functional coordination with the brand’s team to align R&D activities with overarching strategic goals.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in Food Technology or related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel/Google Sheets.
- Technical skills underpinned by a strong grasp of New Product Development (NPD) processes.
- An applicable degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, or a Doctorate.
- Profound expertise in research methodologies to deliver focused outcomes.
- A penchant for learning, adaptability, and flexibility to swiftly comprehend new concepts and adapt to evolving project demands.
- A keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier results.
- Good communication skills (preferred).
