Job Summary:
As an Assistant Category Manager for Edible Oils & Ghee at Swiggy, you’ll be a pivotal part of our team. You will be responsible for driving the growth of the category’s profitability, understanding market dynamics, and fostering strategic brand partnerships. Your insights and expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing our customer’s experience and contributing to the success of the Instamart platform.


  • Take ownership of the category’s Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, focusing on growth levers and market insights.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry, category trends, customer needs, and competition to deliver an unparalleled customer experience.
  • Analyze data to predict customer behavior, identify trends, and adapt strategic priorities accordingly.
  • Conduct financial analysis to meet P&L goals, driving promotions, campaigns, and marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement effective awareness initiatives across various channels.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with brand partners to achieve growth targets and drive value along the value chain.
  • Own brand growth metrics including revenue, margins, inventory management, and customer engagement.
  • Innovate and propose solutions that align with customer objectives, driving customer retention.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Supply Chain, Marketing, Growth, Finance, Merchandising, Operations, and Analytics.
  • Establish and implement industry best practices and standard operating procedures.
