Role: Senior Officer – Production
Location: Bicholim, Goa, India
Purpose of the Role:
The Production Officer will manage teams, plant operations, and resources while ensuring compliance with Nestlé standards. The role focuses on delivering efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable production performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Manufacturing
• Issue production instructions and manage shop floor execution
• Optimize manpower, materials, and machines for performance
• Plan and coordinate maintenance and shutdown activities
• Control production costs while maintaining quality and safety
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal quality standards
• Monitor KPIs and ensure process compliance
• Promote workplace safety and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment)
Data Management
• Analyze line performance and labor variance
• Monitor material and energy usage through systems/tools
Continuous Improvement
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements
• Support trials, new product development, and technical projects
• Participate in audits (HACCP, ISO, GMP)
People Development
• Coach and mentor team members
• Train staff on SOPs, processes, and technology
• Drive performance reviews and capability building
• Ensure effective communication across teams
Technical Requirements:
• Understanding of manufacturing, filling & packing operations
• Knowledge of cost of production and efficiency drivers
• Familiarity with quality systems, safety, and compliance standards
• Strong communication and computer skills
Qualification & Experience:
• B.Tech (Food / Dairy / Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial Production)
• 2–7 years of relevant production experience
