Join our global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition – IFF. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Beverage Designer to join our Nourish team in Gurgaon, India. Your Focus:
As a Senior Beverage Designer, you’ll bring flavors and ingredients together for our customers in the Beverage category. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Flavorists, Food Technologists, Marketing, and Product Experience, to transform innovation, consumer insights, market trends, and project briefs into tailored solutions. Support local and regional business initiatives.
How You Will Contribute:
- Drive successful project execution and commercialization of IFF Innovation in the Beverage category for the Indian Subcontinent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute Commercial and Innovation Strategies.
- Develop excellent beverage prototypes and flavor emulsions in response to customer development briefs.
- Stay updated on ingredients, customer bases, processes, and flavor interactions in the associated category applications.
- Connect with local and regional experts to establish best practices for experimental design and formulation.
Project Management:
- Independently work on customers’ projects to recommend appropriate flavor and ingredient solutions within established timelines.
- Collaborate with Sales/Marketing, Flavorists, Product Experience, GRA, and other departments for project execution.
- Participate in new concept generation and other innovation activities.
Strategy and Business Knowledge:
- Develop a network of IFF staff to expand application and business knowledge.
- Establish relationships with customers and related categories.
- Demonstrate understanding of market evolution and consumer preferences in the assigned category.
Technical and Product Management:
- Develop application formulations based on industrial standards, country-specific requirements, and customer needs.
- Expand knowledge of flavor and ingredient function and performance in different applications.
- Use creative skills to develop relevant new concepts and provide total solutions.
- Share knowledge within the team.
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- B.Tech or M. Tech Degree in Food Technology or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in product development in the beverage category.
- Strong knowledge of Proteins, Pectins, Gums, and other Hydrocolloids.
- Expertise in beverage raw materials, processing, and regulations.
- Project management and experimental design skills.
- Innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Company IS system.
- Experience in formulating industrial-scale beverages.
