Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of fruits and vegetables at the collection center to identify and address any quality issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality of incoming produce.
- Train and educate staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze data related to quality metrics, such as defect rates and customer complaints, to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and procurement, to implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to fruit and vegetable quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including growers, suppliers, and customers, regarding quality-related matters.
- Continuously strive to improve the overall quality and freshness of fruits and vegetables at the collection center.
