About the Job
Sodexo is looking for a dynamic and driven Food Safety Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety, hygiene, and compliance of food safety standards across all sites. As part of the Sodexo team, you will drive the continual development of our safety culture, implement APMEA HSE systems and procedures, and contribute to the overall safety management system in the region.
Food Safety Specialist (HSE)-Sodexo
Key Responsibilities:
- Zero Harm Mindset: Drive the deployment of a Zero Harm safety culture within frontline employees.
- Food Safety: Oversee food hygiene and safety standards across the location. Monitor the entire food chain to ensure compliance.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks and suggest preventive measures. Prepare and maintain risk assessments and registers.
- Legal Compliance: Maintain and update the Legal Register. Ensure adherence to all legal safety and health regulations.
- Incident Management: Investigate incidents, prepare root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- HSE Practices & Documentation: Ensure adherence to various safety practices, including temperature control, deep cleaning, and pest control. Track documentation like checklists, temperature records, and pest control logs.
- Training & Campaigns: Organize and conduct HSE training for staff. Plan safety campaigns to promote safety awareness.
- PPE Compliance & Safety Walks: Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance with safety standards. Conduct regular safety observations and track closure of safety observations.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Food Science (BSc/MSc/B.E/B.Tech in Food Science or related fields).
- Certifications: ISO 22000, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 certifications (optional).
- Experience: Experience in food safety and occupational health and safety systems management. Internship experience in related fields is preferred.
