Position : General Manager/ Vice President – Production
Role : Factory Head
Location : Pundhra (Ice Cream Factory)
Job Description:
Responsible for devising manufacturing strategies and processes to meet business objectives and ensure smooth operations focused on timely delivery and right quality within Costs.
Ensure development of factory management team and staff through performance management, career development, succession planning and coaching.
Ensure that this culture of performance and good behavior is reflected in other Managers within the factory.
Collaborate and liaise with peer management members from R&D, Domestic and Exports Marketing, Commercial Functions, HR, Supply Chain, Stores/ Cold Stores, Logistics of factory and Head Office.
Optimal Production planning for efficient production capacity utilization, Human Resource optimization and Capex investments.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvements with significant enhancement in present manufacturing processes and technology adoption.
Ensure adherence to all company principles and policies, internal controls as well as local laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance to Health, Food Safety and regulatory requirements for all products manufactured.
Awareness of work and people practices of competitor industries.
Working knowledge of engineering maintenance, utilities, capital projects, quality systems, production unit operations & products and people management is essential.
Qualification & Experience:
B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical)
20-25 years’ experience preferably in Food Industry.
Proven experience of 8-10 years as Factory Head is desirable.
Knack for problem-solving approach, engaging cross-functional teams and taking Initiatives.
