Role Overview
The Senior Executive – Supplier Quality plays a critical role in ensuring that all raw materials, packaging components, and outsourced products meet defined quality and regulatory standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management & Qualification
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers through audits and assessments
- Maintain and update the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Collaborate with Procurement and R&D teams during product development
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure supplier compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory standards
- Review COAs, specifications, and test reports
- Conduct periodic supplier audits and inspections
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate supplier-related non-conformances and complaints
- Lead root cause analysis and implement CAPA
- Monitor supplier KPIs and drive improvement initiatives
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain audit records and supplier quality documentation
- Prepare reports on supplier performance and quality trends
- Support internal and external audits
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering OR Master’s in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
Experience
- 6–8 years in QA/QC or supplier quality in FMCG/food industry
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO, and FSSAI standards
- Experience in supplier audits, compliance, and quality systems
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems
- Certifications like Six Sigma or Lead Auditor are a plus
