Role Overview

The Senior Executive – Supplier Quality plays a critical role in ensuring that all raw materials, packaging components, and outsourced products meet defined quality and regulatory standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment.


Key Responsibilities

Supplier Management & Qualification

  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers through audits and assessments
  • Maintain and update the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
  • Collaborate with Procurement and R&D teams during product development

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure supplier compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory standards
  • Review COAs, specifications, and test reports
  • Conduct periodic supplier audits and inspections

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate supplier-related non-conformances and complaints
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement CAPA
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and drive improvement initiatives

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain audit records and supplier quality documentation
  • Prepare reports on supplier performance and quality trends
  • Support internal and external audits

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering OR Master’s in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field

Experience

  • 6–8 years in QA/QC or supplier quality in FMCG/food industry
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO, and FSSAI standards
  • Experience in supplier audits, compliance, and quality systems

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems
  • Certifications like Six Sigma or Lead Auditor are a plus
