Are you passionate about innovation in the beverage industry? Parlé Agro is seeking a dynamic Lead Research Scientist to join our team and drive groundbreaking developments in fruit juice, beverage, and dairy categories.
Responsibilities of Lead Research Scientist:
- Innovate and Ideate: Generate proactive ideas for innovation within the beverage segment.
- Concept Development: Take charge of new concept development in beverages, juices, and water.
- Product Creation: Develop new products, conduct rapid prototyping, and ensure superior taste through robust design, sensory analysis, and consumer testing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Costing departments to ensure successful product execution.
- NPD Leadership: Lead New Product Development (NPD) activities from planning to commercialization.
- Formulation Standardization: Develop and standardize product formulations and process parameters.
- Training and Benchmarking: Provide training on the latest trends and technologies; benchmark products against industry standards.
- Vendor Management: Develop vendors for raw materials, flavors, and packaging materials.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct product shelf-life and stability studies; handle market complaints.
- Regulatory Compliance: Design Nutrition Fact Tables (NFT) and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Data Utilization: Interpret and leverage experimental data to support formulation development and implementation.
- Team Management: Direct Product Development Executives to fulfill assigned tasks.
- Qualification and Testing: Qualify raw materials, execute stability tests, and evaluate technologies.
- Interdepartmental Support: Support cross-functional requirements for product development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology/Food Science
- Experience: 7-10 years in FMCG/Food Industry
Skill Sets:
- Strong product development skills and deep understanding of nutrition.
- A passion for exploring and developing new food and beverage categories.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards Act(s) or Rules and Regulations.
- Effective initiator and team player.
