Are you passionate about ensuring top-quality products reach our customers? Join PepsiCo as an Assistant Manager in Supply Chain Quality Control. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining product and packaging quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing Quality Data MIS
- Implementing Quality Auditing System (QAS) and Analytical System Health Audit (ASHA) requirements
- Ensuring adherence to Key Controls for finished goods testing and process adherence
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to deliver quality metrics
- Supporting Quality systems in the plant and new product development trials
- Troubleshooting key quality concerns with online QC Executives and packaging checkers
- Training and skill enhancement of QC Executives and associates
- Ensuring the highest product quality and minimizing customer complaints through stringent online quality control checks and finished product inspection
- Implementing the right quality control systems/standards for processes, physical systems, and the environment
Responsibilities:
You will be accountable for:
- Product and packaging quality, measured by the Wall in Green score
- Product quality Consumer Quality Attributes (CQA)
- Product trade quality and Product Quality Metrics and Delivery (PQMD) score
- Reducing consumer complaints
- Overall OAS Score
- Key Performance Indicators for Quality Management (QM pillar KPIs)
- IPS audit score
- Training calendar compliance
- Snacks global 3-D scorecard
- Cost of poor quality
You will also handle Quality system Compliances for all production lines, ensuring compliance with PepsiCo Q&FS standards. This includes:
- Leading potato and corn quality management, ensuring consistently high product quality with minimal rejection
- Leading efforts to reduce consumer and customer complaints by implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Leading QAS implementation and improvement year over year
- Coordinating with R&D and Commercialization teams for new product launches while maintaining 100% Q&FS compliance
- Ensuring a safe work environment with no Lost Time Incidents (LTI) and minimal Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Conducting in-market checks for product and packaging quality to identify improvement opportunities
- Supporting food safety compliance in AlB, FSSC, and other food safety standards
- Leading the capability building in the QC team through training and continuous improvement efforts
- Managing the Cost of Poor Quality through analysis of rejections and collaboration with stakeholders for corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance in CFA and SDP audits using both physical and virtual means
Qualifications:
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Exposure to food safety systems and ISO systems
- Minimum 5/6 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in shift management
- Preferably, knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, AIB, and TPM
- Certification as an internal auditor is desirable
- Strong team management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Languages: English and Hindi
Qualification Required:
- Graduation/Postgraduation in Food Technology, Microbiology, or Dairy Technology
