Nashik Plant Overview:
The Nashik Plant supports various businesses, producing retail cake mixes, frozen dough, and snacks for domestic and international markets. In line with General Mills’ commitment to excellence, the plant focuses on maintaining high-quality standards, efficient production, and adherence to safety policies.

Role Overview:
The Operations Head is responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing plant, ensuring optimal performance, and aligning operations with business objectives. Key responsibilities include people development, implementing policies and procedures, maintaining safety standards, optimizing machinery, and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and safety policies.
  • Maintain effective shop floor discipline and maximize resource utilization.
  • Ensure machinery’s optimal availability, efficiency, and capacity utilization.
  • Uphold quality standards, meeting production targets, and dispatch schedules.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and infrastructure projects.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate operations staff.
  • Administer financial aspects and prepare budgets.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal and external audits at the plant level.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and business process development.
  • Support General Mills Global/International initiatives through networking and knowledge sharing.

Candidate Profile:

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Operations preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) from premier institutions preferred.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Operations, preferably in FMCG, Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Goods.
  • Comfortable in a matrixed organization with a proven track record of strategic partnership development, team building, and change management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and conflict management skills.
