Designation: Dairy/Cattle Nutrition Scientist
Location: Nashik, Maharashtra
Job Purpose:
Managing Dairy/Cattle Nutrition
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Generate and develop innovative ideas and concepts for the benefit of the business.
- Analyze market situations and product performance, upgrading products accordingly.
- Lead projects, plan and execute in vitro studies and in vivo trials, correlating data with market situations.
- Plan and conduct feeding studies in dairy animals (calf, heifer, and lactating).
- Contribute to new product development in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Experiment with feed formulation and monitor experimental farms, making daily and weekly observations.
- Record, analyze, and interpret data, applying statistics to draw insights.
- Guide and coordinate with the laboratory team, contributing to research activities.
- Stay informed about the latest technical and scientific developments in animal nutrition and feed science.
Position Requirements:
- Expertise in ruminant nutrition with knowledge of physiology and biochemistry.
- Awareness of the cattle feed industry, feed ingredients, and specifications.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and observations.
- Understanding of the techno-commercial approach in animal nutrition.
- Knowledge of farm management, including day-to-day monitoring of experimental dairy farms.
Educational Qualification:
MVSC or PhD (preferably) in Animal Nutrition and allied sciences
Experience:
2 to 3 years of active field experience in dairy cattle nutrition, preferably in the industry. Higher experiences considered preferentially.
Skills:
- Research acumen and data interpretation.
Reporting Structure:
Reporting to Head R&D (NGCARD)
