The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has officially announced the opening of applications for its Internship Programme for the July 2025 quarter under the Internship Scheme 2024. This initiative provides a unique learning opportunity for students aspiring to gain hands-on experience in India’s food safety ecosystem.
🔍 About FSSAI Internship
FSSAI, the apex food regulatory body established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, offers this internship to familiarize students with food regulatory practices, quality assurance, imports, scientific standards, and legal and administrative frameworks related to food safety in India.
🎓 Who Can Apply?
The internship is open to students currently pursuing full-time Graduate/Postgraduate/Higher degree programs from recognized institutes in India or abroad, in fields such as:
- Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Dairy, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Toxicology, Life Sciences, etc.
- Business Administration, Public Health, Human Resources, ICT, Marketing, Economics, etc.
- Law, Public Policy, Journalism, Mass Communication, Computer Science, and related disciplines.
Note: Final year students or graduates are not eligible.

📋 How to Apply?
- Submit a short write-up or presentation during application.
- Multiple applications will not be entertained.
- Selected interns will be informed only via FSSAI website.
💼 Internship Details
- Tenure: Minimum 2 months (extendable up to 6 months)
- Stipend: ₹10,000 (for deserving interns based on attendance, performance & final evaluation)
- Working Space: Laptops to be brought by interns; FSSAI will provide internet and office space
- Certificate: Awarded upon successful completion and report submission
