HiMedia Laboratories is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Ferment ation Technologist / Jr. R&D Executive (Downstream). If you have a Master’s degree in Biotechnology or Microbiology along with at least 2 years of experience, we want to hear from you!
Primary Job Role:
- Development of a novel purification method for small molecules of interest.
- Utilization of Design of Experiment (DoE) to screen purification conditions and optimize the process.
- Execution of activities for process monitoring and data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate and improve downstream processing techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of purification processes.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to downstream processing.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate innovative techniques into process development.
- Assist in the scale-up of processes from lab to pilot plant and production scale.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in downstream processing and protein purification techniques.
- Knowledge of affinity chromatography and related chromatographic techniques.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and provide process expertise in problem resolution.
- Implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Identification of root causes of process variation to enhance efficiency.
