About the Role:
DFM Foods is seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to lead and manage general trade operations in Ludhiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributor relationships, and leading a team of sales officers and ISRs.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations:
- Develop and implement area sales plans
- Monitor daily/weekly sales performance
- Induct and onboard new Sales Officers (SOs)
- Conduct market visits and ensure retail productivity
- Generate primary sales in line with secondary sales
Branding & Market Development:
- Execute in-store promotions and track competitor activity
- Expand market reach and consolidate existing areas
Distributor Management:
- Maintain distributor relations and ensure efficient inventory flow
- Manage approvals and appointments of distributors
Team Leadership:
- Define and monitor KRAs for SOs
- Manage recruitment and minimize attrition
- Motivate and retain high-performing sales staff
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate (MBA preferred)
- 8–12 years of experience in general trade, team handling & distributor management
