Job Summary
As a Trainee in our bakery, you will assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone passionate about baking and eager to learn from experienced chefs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and baking of breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Follow recipes under the guidance of experienced chefs and assist in creating new recipes.
- Ensure the workspace is kept clean and organized.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining high-quality standards for all baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
- Help check the freshness and quality of ingredients.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Diploma or degree in Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in a professional kitchen or bakery environment is desirable but not mandatory.
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift food items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
