Kemin Industries is looking for a Senior Research Associate (I) to join their team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This position offers an exciting opportunity to plan and execute innovative projects within the Animal Nutrition and Health Industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design safe, scalable routes for formulation development, particularly in antioxidants, lipids, and coating technology.
- Coordinate with both internal and external customers for smooth project execution.
- Perform scientific database searches to identify cost-effective product development routes.
- Publish scientific and technical articles in Kemin’s database and external journals.
- Collaborate with channel partners and submit innovative ideas for product/process development.
- Strict adherence to laboratory and safety protocols.
Specific Tasks:
- Design experiments and protocols, and execute projects based on the Product Innovation Process (PIP).
- Improve current products and formulations, and contribute to new product development.
- Write at least two technical articles per year for internal and external publication.
- File one patent disclosure every two years based on research findings.
- Actively participate in team meetings and deliver presentations when required.
Qualifications:
- MSc/M.Tech in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related discipline from reputed universities with 3-4 years of experience.
- Fresh PhDs from reputed universities are also encouraged to apply.
