Job Purpose:
As the Lead of the Processed Food Category in the Marketing Transformation vertical, your role is to oversee and drive marketing strategies and initiatives related to packed food products. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies and implementing marketing plans that effectively promote the products, increase brand visibility, and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy and marketing plan for the packed food category, aligning it with the overall NFR objectives and organizational goals.
Identify target markets, consumer segments, and key competitors to inform the strategy.
Product Positioning and Branding:
Define the positioning of packed food products in the market.
Develop and maintain strong brand messaging and visual representation across all marketing channels.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to gain insights into consumer preferences, trends, and competitors’ activities.
Identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with departments such as product development, operations, and sales to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies.
Work closely with the sales team to develop trade marketing initiatives and support sales efforts.
Budget Management:
Manage the marketing budget for the packed food category, monitoring expenses and tracking return on investment (ROI).
Adjust budget allocation to optimize resources.
Prepare a phase-wise scale-up plan, including financial implications.
Evaluate the profitability and scalability of pilot projects and proposed ventures.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
12 to 15 years of experience, preferably in marketing roles in the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
Strong understanding of the packed food market, consumer behavior, and industry trends.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
