Research and Development Manager (Food Technology)

Wellversed is looking for an experienced Research and Development Manager to join our team and help us improve our nutrition brands like Wellcore, YouWeFit, Ketofy, Zero Sugar, and Dynamite. If you have a background in food manufacturing, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industries and are ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the central team to define priorities and submit weekly experiment plans.
- Ensure all experiments are systematically logged, and targets are met.
- Collect consumer feedback monthly and plan quarterly product improvements.
- Manage product changes and upgrades as per decided cycles.
- Update COGs log upon experiment finalization and production rollout.
- Plan and execute product changes with proper budget allocation.
- Ensure QA protocols for new products are in place before launch.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Research and Development in the food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Hands-on experience with food-related equipment (e.g., Hot Air Oven, Kjeldahl).
- Familiarity with advanced equipment such as HPLC and GC.
- Proven track record in conducting market, ingredient, and need specification research.
- Strong knowledge of cost optimization strategies and research tools (Mendeley, Stata, Google Scholar).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with advanced research and experimentation methods.
- Familiarity with specialized equipment in food production settings.
