About The Role
As the RDA Technologist O, you will drive growth in the Beverage segment through application and innovation using our ingredient product range. The role involves development, application, and creation of innovative solutions for the following products:
Ready to Drink Beverages (Juice Based / Carbonated / Dairy Drink)
Syrups and Sauces
Powdered Beverage Mixes
Key Responsibilities
Create innovative taste and functional food systems in line with customer briefs.
Deliver products that meet constraints of time, taste, functionality, nutrition, and cost.
Collaborate with internal teams (RDA, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) and external stakeholders (customers, processors, manufacturing partners, etc.).
Stay updated on manufacturing capabilities for Kerry and customers.
Develop future-proof solutions with differentiation and process firewalls.
Provide troubleshooting support at plant level for both Kerry and customers.
Protect and grow Kerry technologies across regions and end-user markets.
Conduct market intelligence by benchmarking customer products, Kerry competition, and processes.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers through visits, trials, and troubleshooting.
Scale recipes at the plant level and successfully clear first commercial batches.
Execute profitability improvement plans and enhance Kerry’s know-how.
Formulate and handle projects in categories like Juice, CSD, nutritional drinks, dairy beverages, ice cream, tea, coffee, alcoholic beverages, etc.
Operate lab equipment and pilot plants, and demonstrate product development through plant trials.
Apply knowledge of analytical and sensory methodology in product development.
Stay vigilant of market trends and customer needs to drive innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
Postgraduate in Food Science/Technology, Dairy Science/Technology, or Food Process Engineering.
6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience in application or research and development, particularly in dairy and beverages.
Experience with launching products in beverage, dairy, syrups, or functional food systems.
Proven ability to lead product scale-up at customers’ facilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer relationships.
Project management, time management, and self-organization skills.
Experience with sensory analysis and decision-making based on sensory aspects.
Team player with a proactive attitude, able to work in a global matrix structure.
