Role & Responsibilities:
As an R&D Food Technologist, you will focus on improving food preservation, processing, packaging procedures, and storage. Your responsibilities will include:
- Modifying and developing new food products and processes.
- Ensuring the safety and quality control of food products from raw materials to finished goods.
- Researching current consumer markets and emerging technologies to create innovative product concepts.
- Selecting raw materials and ingredients from suppliers.
- Preparing costings to ensure product profitability.
- Managing supplier audits and internal audits.
- Running trials and launching new products.
- Addressing customer complaints and product issues.
- Ensuring product specifications and labeling comply with FSSAI standards.
- Collaborating on long-term projects, such as reducing waste through improved efficiency.
- Innovating packaging technology and conducting experiments to produce high-quality samples.
- Designing processes and machinery to maintain consistency in flavor, color, and texture.
- Building relationships with suppliers and customers.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or a related field.
- Experience in food technology, product development, or related industries is highly preferred.
