Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Head to oversee the quality assurance and control processes in the processing and packaging of raw food grains. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and our company’s quality policies, while implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control & Assurance:
    • Establish and implement quality standards and protocols for raw food grains processing and packaging.
    • Monitor all stages of processing to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality regulations.
    • Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and laboratory tests to assess grain quality parameters (moisture content, purity, foreign matter, etc.).
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with national food safety regulations (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, FDA, etc.).
    • Stay updated on evolving industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
    • Coordinate with regulatory bodies for certifications, audits, and inspections.
  • Process Improvement & Risk Management
    :
    • Identify and resolve quality-related issues to minimize wastage and enhance efficiency.
    • Implement quality control measures to reduce contamination risks, spoilage, and product inconsistencies.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality deviations.
  • Team Management & Training:
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability in quality management.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and compliance reports.
    • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
    • Ensure proper documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and corrective actions.

Key Requirements:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Agriculture, or a related field.
    • 5 years of experience in quality control and assurance within the food grain processing industry.
    • Experience in handling regulatory audits and compliance processes.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
    • Strong analytical skills for product testing and data analysis.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or other relevant quality standards.
    • Experience in automation and technology-driven quality control processes.
