Overview
As a QC Associate at PepsiCo, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring product quality, maintaining global standards, and minimizing customer complaints. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a high-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-line quality control checks and finished product inspections to ensure compliance with PepsiCo’s quality standards.
- Implement and maintain GMP, GHK, GLP systems and assist in internal/external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process Audit).
- Perform root cause analysis for quality defects and execute corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct visual inspections and analytical tests at defined intervals (hourly, 4-hourly).
- Monitor operating parameters of key machinery (Peelers, Fryers, Slicers, Seasoning Tumblers).
- Evaluate oil quality, moisture content, seasoning levels, and product parameters (PA, TPD, bulk density, etc.).
- Collaborate with production and agro teams to ensure raw material and process consistency.
- Supervise packaging area quality checks – including air leakage, weight, batch printing, and nitrogen flushing tests.
- Communicate concerns promptly to shift in-charges and managers, ensuring timely corrective actions.
Qualifications
- B.Tech in Food Technology (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and quality control systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
