About the Role
V.M. Bakery is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our bakery manufacturing operations. This role is perfect for professionals who are passionate about production excellence, food safety, process improvement, and team leadership in the FMCG/Bakery industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution:
- Deliver daily, weekly & monthly production targets across all bakery SKUs (bread, buns, rusk, muffins, cookies, cakes).
- Achieve >95% plan adherence & >75% OEE.
Quality & Food Safety Compliance:
- Ensure 100% compliance with FSSC 22000 v6 standards.
- Maintain zero critical non-conformances and <0.5% complaint ratio.
Cost & Waste Control:
- Keep process wastage below 3%.
- Optimize power, fuel & material cost per MT output.
Process Improvement & Automation:
- Lead at least 2 process improvement projects per quarter.
- Implement lean & automation initiatives (ROI <18 months).
Team Development & Safety:
- Train 100% of team on SOPs & safety protocols.
- Maintain zero lost-time accidents and >85% team retention.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D, QA/QC, Supply Chain & Sales.
- Ensure >90% forecast accuracy for raw & packaging materials.
Candidate Profile:
Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Tech, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Diploma in Bakery Technology.
Experience: 6–12 years in Bakery/FMCG manufacturing.
Skills: Production planning, lean manufacturing, cost control, food safety, team leadership.
Compensation:
Fixed Pay: ₹6–9 LPA
Variable Pay: ₹3 LPA (linked to production efficiency, quality & cost KPIs)
Success Metrics (Year 1):
95% plan adherence | OEE ≥75%
Wastage <3% | Cost within budget
Zero audit non-compliance
Support launch of 2 new SKUs
