Join Bombay SweetShop, part of the renowned Hunger Inc., as the Kitchen Production Head, where you’ll oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality production and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This role requires strong leadership to drive continuous improvement, optimize processes, and maintain the culture and values of the company.
Hunger Inc. operates multiple award-winning restaurants, including The Bombay Canteen, O Pedro, Veronica’s, and Bombay Sweet Shop, each offering unique culinary experiences deeply rooted in Indian traditions. Our most recent addition, Papa’s, launched in 2024, boldly reinterprets Indian cuisine with an adventurous flair.
Key Responsibilities
- Development & Scaling: Set up kitchen operations, implement processes, and develop scalable products in collaboration with the Quality and R&D team.
- Production Management: Oversee all kitchen activities, manage production schedules, and ensure consistent mithai and chocolate production.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to maintain product consistency.
- Safety & Sanitation: Ensure kitchen safety and enforce sanitation practices.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Manage inventory levels and minimize waste, ensuring efficient production.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization, cost reduction, and encourage feedback for improvement.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and report outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a high-volume pastry kitchen; at least 2 years in a Production Head role.
- Culinary qualification in pastry, baking, or relevant field.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
