Our new Veg Unit in Lalru, Punjab, is part of our diversification and automation expansion strategy, and we’re looking for a dynamic Plant Head to lead operations at this world-class facility.
Plant Head – Veg Unit|Chatha Foods Limited
Role Objective
To lead, manage, and optimize all manufacturing operations to achieve peak productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and safety.
The Plant Head will drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a high-performance, continuous improvement culture aligned with Chatha Foods’ strategic goals.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology / Meat Science / Mechanical Engineering (MBA preferred)
15+ years in meat/poultry/RTC-RTE manufacturing
5-7+ years in senior plant leadership roles
Expertise in meat/veg processing, cooking, freezing, and hygiene management
Experience with BRC/FSSC, HACCP, and customer audits (QSR/export)
Skilled in yield optimization, energy management, and waste reduction

- Strong technical knowledge of food processing & automation systems
- Excellent people leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Deep understanding of food safety, CCP management, and statutory compliance
- Results-driven, financially astute, and committed to lean practices
- Continuous improvement mindset and strategic problem-solving ability

- Operational Efficiency: OEE >85%
- Yield Management: +3% YoY improvement
- Quality & Compliance: Zero NCRs, 100% audit compliance
- Cost & Profitability: -5% YoY energy cost reduction
- Safety & People: Zero lost-time incidents, >90% retention
- Strategic Execution: On-schedule NPD commercialization
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: TBD
Variable Pay: 10–20% (based on KPIs & profitability)
