Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Plant Head to manage manufacturing operations for an Ayurvedic / Nutraceutical formulations facility. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in Softgel and Hardgel capsule production along with regulatory compliance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete plant operations (Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch)
- Ensure efficient manufacturing aligned with quality and production plans
- Maintain compliance with FSSAI, AYUSH, GMP, WHO-GMP, HACCP
- Handle export compliance (USFDA, EU, ASEAN standards)
- Manage audits and regulatory inspections
- Drive cost optimization and productivity improvements
- Collaborate with R&D for product development
- Ensure equipment validation and maintenance
- Lead teams and enforce SOPs, safety, and compliance training
Key Requirements
7+ years in Ayurvedic / Nutraceutical manufacturing
Mandatory experience in Softgel & Hardgel capsules
Strong knowledge of FSSAI, AYUSH, and GMP
Experience in export-oriented manufacturing
Proven plant leadership and audit handling
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / BAMS / B.Tech (Food Tech / Chemical)
- Experience in herbal extracts, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements
- Exposure to USFDA, WHO-GMP, ISO, HACCP
- Experience in scaling operations or setting up new facilities
