PepsiCo: R&D Food Safety Reviewer
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Overview: PepsiCo is seeking a highly skilled R&D Food Safety Reviewer to join our team. This role will leverage technical expertise in food safety to work closely with cross-functional teams, ingredient suppliers, and internal stakeholders to develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with ingredient specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct food safety assessments and incorporate necessary parameters into ingredient specifications for food, dairy, and fruits & vegetables.
Serve as the point of contact for food safety discussions during the supplier alignment process.
Maintain strong relationships with the Ingredient Specification team and external suppliers.
Review supplier questionnaires related to ingredient approvals and ensure all required documentation is provided.
Ensure specifications comply with PepsiCo Food Safety Standards and update them regularly.
Manage food safety paperwork and upload supplier specifications into SAP or Teams once approved.
Identify areas for process improvements and collaborate with the R&D Europe QFS team for continuous enhancement.
Qualifications:
6-8 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance.
Solid understanding of food microbiology, allergens, and food safety hazards.
Knowledge of food legislation and HACCP certification (at least Level 2).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new computer applications.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially in managing cross-functional teams across different time zones.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
