About the Job:
PepsiCo is looking for a dedicated and experienced Online QC Executive to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality of products, minimizing customer complaints, and carrying out rigorous online quality control checks throughout the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the quality of potatoes for production meets standard specifications.
- Fry samples and perform COOK Tests to assess factors like color, internal defects, and greening percentage.
- Provide status reports to the Agro Department on the required pickers for each batch.
- Conduct regular Cook’s Tests on potatoes stored for long-term periods.
- Monitor FLI quality standards and perform visual inspections across different machines like peelers, fryers, slicers, and chip conveyors.
- Evaluate slice thickness, surface moisture, and apply anti-foaming agents when necessary.
- Conduct regular analytical tests such as Hunter Color Test and check the fryer oil for FFA, OV, PV, and foreign materials.
- Monitor fried chips for key parameters such as oil percentage, appearance, and clusters.
- Ensure the optimal use of frying oil and make corrective decisions when necessary.
- Provide immediate feedback to operators to rectify any small issues and communicate with shift in-charges about any concerns.
- Alert the Quality Manager in case of any crisis situations, followed by conducting a trial run.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech in Food Technology.
- 3-5 years of experience in food safety systems and ISO systems.
- Knowledge of HACCP/AIB and TPM is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in quality control.
