About the Role: Packaging Technologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging Development:
Design and optimize packaging for iD’s existing and new product portfolio.
Create Key Line Drawings (KLDs) for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging formats.
Collaborate with designers and ensure packaging aligns with distribution, storage, and retail display standards.
Test and prototype packaging materials to meet product specifications.
- Quality and Compliance:
Maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Conduct packaging audits, quality checks, and prototype testing.
- Supplier and Material Sourcing:
Identify and collaborate with reliable suppliers for cost-effective material sourcing.
Ensure consistency and monitor the quality of packaging materials.
- Project Management:
Oversee multiple packaging projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and production teams to meet project goals.
- Innovation and Sustainability:
Stay updated on packaging trends in the FMCG sector.
Research eco-friendly materials and methods to innovate sustainable packaging solutions.
Propose improvements to reduce material use, cost, and environmental impact while maintaining functionality.
Key Requirements:
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in FMCG packaging.
Proficiency in packaging design software (e.g., CAD).
Degree from a packaging institute (e.g., Indian Institute of Packaging).
