Role Overview
As a Packaging Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating smart, food-safe packaging solutions that combine great design, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze diverse food menus to design optimal packaging formats
- Create structural & visual packaging mockups (2D & 3D)
- Collaborate with chefs, product teams & vendors
- Finalize material specs (GSM, coating, etc.) ensuring cost optimization
- Prepare costing sheets & ensure vendor coordination
- Ensure compliance with food safety, microwaveability & delivery durability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Packaging Tech, Product/Industrial Design, or related
- 2+ years in food packaging design (QSR, FMCG, or sustainable packaging preferred)
Key Skills
- Expertise in structural packaging, corrugated design
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, ArtiosCAD/AutoCAD
- Knowledge of food-grade papers, coatings & materials
- Strong vendor coordination, pricing & problem-solving skills
Bonus Points For
- Experience with biodegradable/eco-friendly packaging
- Understanding of FSSAI/FDA packaging norms
- Knowledge of Swiggy/Zomato delivery packaging standards
