India Foods Business Unit:
As part of General Mills’ international organization, our India Foods Business contributes significantly to the $1 billion revenue in the Global Emerging Markets (GEMS) unit. Our Snacks Business Unit operates in IMEA & NSEA markets, featuring a diverse portfolio including Betty Crocker & Pillsbury retail cake mixes, ready-to-eat cookies and cakes, Nature Valley granola bars, fruit snacks, and Bugles.

Nashik Plant Responsibilities:

  • Produce retail cake mixes for India & International markets
  • Support bakeries business in India
  • Supply frozen tortilla and dough capabilities to food service chains
  • Deliver ready-to-eat snacks like Chocolava muffin cakes for India
  • Export frozen flatbreads, mainly for the ethnic Indian diaspora

Role Overview:
The Operations Head at Nashik Plant is crucial for overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring high performance, and aligning with company objectives. Responsibilities include implementing policies, maintaining quality standards, optimizing productivity, and leading infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement policies and procedures in manufacturing
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety policies
  • Maintain shop floor discipline for optimal resource utilization
  • Oversee machinery maintenance and quality standards
  • Achieve production targets and dispatch schedules
  • Drive continuous process improvements and preventive maintenance
  • Control and monitor manufacturing expenses
  • Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate operations staff
  • Lead internal and external audits, participate in cross-functional projects
  • Uphold General Mills Values and demonstrate engaging leader behavior

Candidate Profile:

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Operations preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) from premier institutes
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Operations, preferably in FMCG, Beverages, or Consumer Goods
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization
  • Proven track record in strategic partnership development, performance management, and change management
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication, and conflict management
  • Strong analytical skills and process orientation
  • Drive employee engagement and enablement
