
We’re Hiring | Microbiology & Food Safety Program Lead
Schreiber Foods is looking for an experienced Microbiology & Food Safety Program Lead to join our Baramati, Maharashtra facility.
This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned microbiology professional who is passionate about food safety, quality culture, and continuous improvement. The position combines subject-matter expertise, people leadership, and customer collaboration to ensure full compliance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the microbiology laboratory ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance
• Drive microbiological programs, audits, method validation, and ISO 17025 / GLP compliance
• Partner with operations to identify trends, implement CAPAs, and strengthen food safety culture
• Support HACCP risk assessments, sanitation improvements, and pathogen monitoring programs
• Collaborate with customers, auditors, external labs, and corporate food safety teams
• Train, coach, and develop microbiology partners across the Baramati plant and India region
• Support continuous improvement and food safety initiatives across multiple plants
What We’re Looking For
• M.Sc. in Microbiology
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or Production
• Strong expertise in food microbiology and HACCP risk assessment
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in both manufacturing and laboratory environments
• Willingness to travel 5–10%
