About the Role
Elite Foods Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager – New Product Development (NPD) to lead the R&D activities in our Bengaluru location. If you have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in the baking sector, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Critical Responsibilities (Must Have):
Lead R&D activities at the Bangalore center, ensuring high-quality product development.
Drive product innovation and revamp projects, working both independently and with the R&D team.
Responsible for nutritional value calculations, lab documentation, and creating R&D SOPs.
Ensure facilities and equipment are well-maintained and organized.
Oversee legal, administrative, and compliance activities related to food safety and regulations.
Perform quality spot checks and ensure desired product outcomes.
Manage R&D trials, packaging material s tock, shelf-life studies, and basic analysis.
Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) on R&D lab activities including planning and documentation.
Apply project management skills to ensure timely completion of R&D projects.
Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements, including FSSAI guidelines.
Support government audits and inspections when necessary.
Provide troubleshooting support for products across various sites.
Other Responsibilities (Good to Have):
Maintain product samples from spot checks for quality reviews.
Coordinate with factory teams during audits and inspections.
Skills Required
Extensive experience in R&D and New Product Development within the food industry, particularly the baking sector.
In-depth knowledge of India’s regulatory framework, including FSSAI guidelines.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong project management and communication abilities.
Ability to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Willingness to travel, with a minimum of 15% travel per year.
