Damati Foods is on the lookout for a Specialist – New Product Development to lead our gourmet food innovation and global sourcing operations. From idea to market, you’ll drive the full lifecycle of our new product offerings—while ensuring excellence in quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Product Development
- Lead end-to-end development from concept to commercialization
- Collaborate across culinary, marketing, and operations teams
- Analyze trends, scout new ideas, and benchmark competition
- Guide vendors through Indian compliance (FSSAI, Legal Metrology, EPR)
- Define costing, MRP, and deliver product launches on time
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Raise purchase indents based on trends and forecasts
- Conduct commercial negotiations and manage vendor relationships
- Run profitability analysis and ERP initiatives
- Drive SNOP and supplier review meetings
- Approve pricing for tenders, special orders, and key clients
- Oversee international logistics, customs, and FSSAI compliance
Global Supply Chain Leadership
- Manage imports/exports of ingredients and products
- Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure smooth delivery
- Optimize inventory levels and streamline supply chain processes
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and cost savings
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor’s in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Supply Chain—or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 6+ years of proven success in NPD and procurement within the gourmet food or FMCG sector
- Strong culinary knowledge and trend awareness
- Excellent project management, supplier negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficient in procurement tools, ERP systems, and MS Office
- Sound knowledge of food safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability standards
