About the Job
Freshleaf Teas is seeking a Food Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the new product development (NPD) process, from ideation to execution, ensuring the highest quality of product is delivered. Key responsibilities include sourcing raw materials, managing vendors, and collaborating across departments to drive innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the New Product Development (NPD) process and oversee the entire development lifecycle.
Source high-quality raw materials, ensuring availability within Turnaround Time (TAT).
Develop tea premixes using NPD techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance) to create innovative product concepts.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure supply chain efficiency.
Develop and document manufacturing procedures, specifications, and quality control measures.
Design and execute experiments to develop product formulations that meet sensory, nutritional, and cost targets.
Research emerging ingredients, flavors, and culinary techniques to drive innovation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of product formulation and development.
Experience in sourcing ingredients and managing vendors.
Ability to collaborate across departments and lead cross-functional projects.
Familiarity with quality control processes and manufacturing procedures.
