As a Food Technologist at Freshleaf Teas, you’ll play a crucial role in product development and the overall process of creating innovative tea-based products. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and lead the journey from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
New Product Development (NPD): Lead and manage the development of new tea premixes, ensuring quality, taste, and market relevance.
Raw Material Sourcing: Source high-quality raw materials with a focus on maintaining turn-around time (TAT).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance to ensure alignment and support on product strategies.
Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate with vendors to secure optimal resources for product development.
Process Documentation: Develop and document manufacturing procedures, specifications, and quality control protocols.
Product Experimentation: Design and execute experiments to achieve product formulations that meet sensory, nutritional, and cost targets.
Ingredient Sourcing and Evaluation: Source and evaluate ingredients to ensure functionality, quality, and compatibility with production processes.
Research and Innovation: Keep up-to-date with emerging ingredients, flavors, and culinary techniques to inspire new product ideas.
