About the Role
We are looking for a Food Technologist to join our dynamic operations team at Sugar.fit. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food product development and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in our FMCG operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop samples and prototypes for new food products.
- Modify existing products to enhance market appeal.
- Create specifications for production and labeling.
- Conduct cost analysis and maintain accurate production records.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure food safety, quality, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, waste management, and government regulations.
- Support new product development based on consumer insights.
- Research ingredients, markets, and technologies to improve offerings.
- Identify safer or more sustainable ingredient alternatives.
- Maintain adherence to federal compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications
- PhD/Master’s in Food Technology, Food Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience (preferably in FMCG).
- Prior exposure to food production lines preferred.
- Strong professional network in the industry (experience with Unilever, PepsiCo, ITC, etc., is a plus).
Skills Required
- Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
