Job Summary: IFF is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our Creation & Design (C&D) team as a Flavorist, Sweet. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing world-class flavors for some of the most innovative and exciting projects in the sweet products industry.
Your Focus
As a Flavorist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine flavors that delight customers across the food & beverage industry.
How You Will Contribute:
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to develop winning flavors.
Proactively evaluate new raw materials and assess their potential for future flavor creations.
Provide creative and innovative flavor solutions using IFF’s technology.
Lead the use of new technologies in flavor development and commercialization.
Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure smooth product development from bench to batch.
Build strong relationships with key customers and understand market trends and preferences.
Participate in knowledge sharing and foster cross-category collaboration.
Strategy & Business Knowledge:
Build trusted relationships with key customers by understanding their requirements.
Lever age a global and regional network to provide technical solutions and address consumer needs.
Create flavors tailored to regional taste preferences.
Presentation Skills:
Deliver engaging presentations in various settings, both internal and external.
Command attention during presentations and manage group processes effectively.
Self-Development:
Commit to continuous improvement and personal growth.
Adapt skills and approaches based on different situations and challenges.
Job Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
5-6 years of experience in the Flavor Industry, specifically within the Sweet Category.
Solid knowledge of flavor creation, raw materials, and market trends in sweet products.
Strong project management and time management skills.
Experience in building customer relationships and leading technical projects.
A positive, self-driven attitude, with a focus on delivering results in a B2B environment.
