About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Executive / Sr. Executive – Rice Processing.
The ideal candidate will oversee the rice processing operations to ensure optimum quality, yield, and efficiency across all stages of production.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Process Monitoring
- Supervise all stages of rice processing — cleaning, de-husking, polishing, grading, and packaging.
- Monitor process parameters to maintain quality and reduce wastage.
- Maintain daily production logs and process reports.
Quality Control
- Ensure rice quality meets customer and internal standards (moisture, whiteness, broken %, etc.).
- Coordinate with QC teams for sampling and testing.
- Identify and correct process deviations affecting quality.
Machine & Plant Operations
- Ensure smooth functioning of dehuskers, polishers, graders, and color sorters.
- Report breakdowns and support preventive maintenance.
- Optimize machine settings for best performance and minimal losses.
People Management
- Supervise operators, helpers, and contract labor.
- Maintain discipline, safety norms, and shift schedules.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production, yield, and rejection records.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports.
- Support audit and traceability documentation.
Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Maintain hygiene and oversee pest control activities.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of rice milling and grading operations
- Understanding of milling equipment and process parameters
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team handling and shift management capability
- Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems preferred
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and GMP systems
Qualifications
Education: Diploma / B.Sc / B.Tech in Food Technology or Agriculture
Experience: 2–5 years in Rice Processing / Grain Processing / Milling Industry
